The Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral in Cebu City, Philippines

This is the The Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral located in Cebu City, Philippines. It is the ecclesiastical seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cebu. The construction of this cathedral started in 1689 by Bishop Diego de Aguilar.

This is is one of the sites that is worthy to visit in Cebu. This image was taken during my vacation last 2010.
The architecture of the church is typical of Spanish colonial churches in the country, namely, squat and with thick walls to withstand typhoons and other natural calamities.

What a beautiful feeling indeed when you wake-up every morning and see this beautiful scenery! I hope to visit it again next year..in God's will! Have a wonderful month of June!

Have you been to the Philippines? Have you seen the beautiful beaches especially in Cebu City. Here is a very beautiful scenery taken at the 21th floor in Hilton Hotel in Mactan Island, Cebu. This is such a breathtaking view. I love it and I was there last Dec. 2009 and January 2010.
